Melbourne has been voted "The Most Livable City" several years in a row, being a Melbournian all my life, i haven't been able to fully understand this tittle. To me the shinning lights of New York, the rich street culture of Hong Kong and the quaint cities of France outshone humble Melbourne, however recently that's changed.
On a recent project based trip to the city, i saw a completely different side of Melbourne. Of course the regular Melborunian frequently visits Melbourne Central, Federation Square, Elizabeth Street and Chapel Street, but the quiet side often goes unnoticed. This trip opened my eyes to how beautiful Melbourne is, a sunny day certainly helps that thought along. A favourite was the love locks seen on the Southbank Bridge, the love messages and confessions was the perfect way to end the day.
